I grew up in Duluth and have always enjoyed living by Lake Superior. Witnessing its beauty and power on a daily basis is the main inspiration for my creativity. You can often find me exploring our nearby beaches and searching for bright and shiny pieces of weathered treasure.

The beach glass and agates used in my art work were worn by Lake Superior’s waves and found along its North Shore beaches.

Beach glass (sea glass) begins as shards of broken glass from bottles, jars, or even shipwrecks that are consistently tumbled by the waves, rocks, and sand until the sharp edges are smoothed and rounded. Throughout the process the glass gains its coveted frosted appearance and shape. This process can take anywhere from 20-50 years!
